Even thouh 15% of the traffic comes from chat and go, we don't need it we can find other ways to get traffic.

I'm not sure. Most of the members come from Chatango because either I, or friends, have invited them from there.
They won't come here just so they can start a temporary profile on a chat, no matter how good it is.

They sometimes even pay for Backgrounds, which they would want to show off.

In the other hand, you could always give ita trial toi see how it goes.

15% sounds like a good percent to me, I don't think it is convenient to minimize that influx of traffic.

That's right.
It may not look the best on the eye, nor is it the most functionable but it provides a lot of traffic, and Chatango is also very well known for hosting Anime chatboxes.
Even professionally edited and designed Anime websites use Chatango, as it's very identifying and easy to use.

I personally feel that having a chat in forum is not a good idea. It takes away the whole concept of forum. If you have chat enabled, people are less likely to post in the forum sections.
